This three season (or shall we say two? It is New England) became a year round get-a-way for these clients. A full house remodel transformed this cottage into a contemporary respite. The family room extended out where there was once a screened in porch. The homeowners are now able to take full advantage of this serene lake view with this unique wall of windows that can open to the outdoors.
A dormer was added to create two full bedrooms upstairs. Custom details like ship-lap, built-in bunk beds + closets offer comfort throughout. We added rustic wood beams in the kitchen and a sliding barn door in the quaint master bedroom for just enough character. Equal consideration was put into ensuring that this home could now stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer with spray foam insulation.
